E-invoicing mandatory since
Mandatory e-invoicing system enforced by Benin's DGI since 2020. Every invoice must be transmitted in real-time to the DGI platform and include a QR code and a unique validation identifier (NIM). The physical MECeF device or its software counterpart e-MECeF are the two authorized modes.
Mandatory accounting standard for all businesses in Benin. The revised 2017 SYSCOHADA chart of accounts introduces 8 account classes, the TAFIRE (Financial Table of Resources and Uses), and consolidated financial statements. All businesses must produce compliant annual financial statements.
Mandatory annual declaration to the DGI and INSAE. The DSF includes the balance sheet, income statement, TAFIRE, and statistical appendices. Filing deadline: April 30th each year for fiscal years ending December 31st.
