CassKai vs Libeo: a specialised AP tool, or an integrated platform?

Libeo is a French fintech founded in 2019, specialised in supplier-invoice management (accounts payable): centralising incoming invoices, approval workflows, one-click payment, and e-invoicing under the French reform. Libeo notably strengthened its offering by acquiring TrackPay in 2021 (customer collections tracking). It is an excellent product on its niche, integrating with many accounting tools (including Pennylane), exchanging entries and supporting documents.

Key positioning point: Libeo is not a full accounting suite. In the vast majority of cases, Libeo is complementary to an accounting tool or to a chartered-accounting firm — it manages the payables side and the payment chain, while bookkeeping, the general ledger, the balance sheet and tax filings live elsewhere. This is important to state honestly: you do not frontally replace Libeo with just any tool, you choose an architecture (a specialised tool stacked on top, or an integrated platform).

What this implies in 2026:

• Functional scope: Libeo covers payables / payment / e-invoicing. General accounting, full customer invoicing, cash-flow forecasting, payroll and CRM are not its job — you need other building blocks.
• Subscription stacking: an SME wanting to cover everything often ends up with Libeo + an accounting tool + sometimes an invoicing tool + a payroll tool. Several contracts, several connectors to maintain.
• Accounting standards: Libeo is built for the French market. No SYSCOHADA, PCG handled on the partner accounting tool's side, no native IFRS / SCF.
• Geographic coverage: France / Europe focused. No native West Africa coverage (UEMOA, OHADA), no Mobile Money.

CassKai, published by Noutche Conseil, tackles the problem from the other end: a single integrated platform where supplier management (receipt, approval, payment posting) natively coexists with accounting (4 standards: PCG, SYSCOHADA, IFRS, SCF), customer invoicing, French e-invoicing (PPF / approved platforms) and UEMOA, cash management, payroll (15 countries), CRM and a GPT-4o AI assistant. The goal is not to claim 1:1 parity with Libeo on the most advanced payables features, but to cover an SME's everyday needs without stacking tools, and with a Franco-African dimension Libeo does not address.

Moving from Libeo (standalone or as a companion) to CassKai typically happens in 3 to 4 steps over 4 to 8 weeks depending on your starting point:

1. Step 1 - Mapping the existing setup (week 1): we identify what Libeo handles today (supplier receipt and payment, e-invoicing) and what lives elsewhere (accounting in another tool or at a firm, customer invoicing, payroll). The point is to replace an assembly with a single platform.
2. Step 2 - Data retrieval (weeks 2-3): export suppliers, open supplier invoices, due dates and payment history from Libeo (CSV / Excel export). In parallel, export the general ledger and trial balance from your current accounting tool. CassKai's import wizard accepts these files and proposes mapping to the target chart of accounts (PCG, or SYSCOHADA for an OHADA subsidiary).
3. Step 3 - Rebuilding the workflows (weeks 3-5): we recreate in CassKai the supplier approval workflows, sub-ledger accounts, payment means (SEPA via Bridge) and the PPF / approved-platform e-invoicing connection. You find the payables chain inside a full accounting system.
4. Step 4 - Cutover (weeks 5-8): on the chosen date (ideally the start of a month or fiscal year), you process new supplier invoices in CassKai and progressively stop Libeo once in-flight payments are settled. You keep Libeo archives for the legal retention period (10 years in France for accounting documents).
